Atrium Notes is a place for longer writing: journals, research, meeting notes, a household manual. Notes are plain Markdown files, so they stay readable anywhere.
Workspaces, folders and files
- A workspace is a collection of notes, like an Obsidian vault. You can have several.
- Inside a workspace, organise notes into folders.
- Each note is a Markdown file. You can attach images and other files to notes.
Writing
Write in Markdown: # for headings, **bold**, - for lists and so on. Link notes together with [[wikilinks]] (see Links and backlinks).
Tags and search
Add #tags anywhere in a note to group notes across folders. Search looks through the full text of your notes. It runs on your device, because our server only has the encrypted version.
Version history
Atrium keeps earlier versions of each note, so you can look back and restore one. How long versions are kept depends on your plan (90 days on Personal, 1 year on Family and Business).
Trash
Deleted notes go to the trash first and can be restored until they are purged.
Encryption
Note text, file names and attachments are encrypted on your device. Our server can see how your folders nest, sizes and when things change, but not names or content. Details: What we can and cannot see.
